Dip. Remedial Massage, Cert. IV Physical Training,
Cert. IV Bowen Therapy

"I developed a passion for rehabilitation after my own experience many years ago. My own journey to recovery involved Physiotherapy, Myotherapy, Pilates, Hydrotherapy, Massage and Bowen Therapy. From this experience, I developed an approach to treatment by combining physical therapies: which mainly help alleviate chronic and acute pain; as well as a complementary approach: to overcome the emotional, mental and energetic blockages which disable ourselves to fully heal. Over time, becoming a mum and building my knowledge and experience with on-going studies in the field of physical health and wellness, I have been able to identify the many ways that we are exposed to and made susceptible in our environments, reducing optimal posture and body function.
I love working alongside quality practitioners and therapists who I can recommend / refer to complete the needs of my clients, and I am excited and happy to be here in Ocean Grove, one of the most beautiful places I know, with a brilliant company of women who highly contribute to the quality of life in our community. I love helping people of all ages, in all stages of life, to achieve their own personal best in comfort and function."

BIOGRAPHY

I am a fully qualified and experienced Remedial Massage Therapist. I have had the privilege to work previously as a PCA, PT and phlebotomist, and have gained experience working with many people in their own homes, from rehabilitative to high care and palliative care.

I have studied health sciences, and will continue to add to my knowledge base over time as I discover reliable traditional and new techniques to effectively enhance personal wellbeing. I am currently studying the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy at RMIT (and loving the course!).

I am also studying yoga teaching and restorative yoga, and I find that it is not only useful for myself, but transfers easily and relevantly into the rehabilitative aspect of our own maintenance and recovery.
I believe that optimal health requires a healthy balance of mind and body practices with quality sleep and therapeutic maintenance depending upon our lifestyles.

  • Loves the beach, walking, cycling, playing with my children, meditation, Yoga, and camping.

  • Loves wholesome, natural foods.

  • Developing a ‘green thumb’ (to grow own foods at home!)
