Women’s Health

Do you need to strengthen your pelvic floor? We can help…

PREGNANCY MASSAGE, PILATES AND TREATMENT (PRE AND POST NATAL)

We treat women throughout all stages of their life, assisting the mother-to-be with pain management, postural imbalances and education during their pregnancy, birth and beyond.

We offer hands-on treatments which are individualised to encourage optimal alignment throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period. Depending on your practitioner, treatment techniques may include massage, myofascial release, joint mobilisation and manipulation. In conjunction with hands-on treatments, we also offer Clinical pilates.

While all of our clinicians are able to assist you on your pregnancy journey; our Myotherapist Jenaye, Physiotherapist Monique, and Remedial Massage therapists Lisa and Nadine have a special interest and additional training in Women’s Health.

Our practitioners work with women who may encounter:

• Pelvic Organ Prolapse
• Pelvic pain (including Endometriosis, PCOS, bladder pain syndrome, vaginismus, vulvodynia)
• Dyspareunia (painful intercourse)
• Pregnancy (pre and post natal)
• Bowel disorders (including incontinence and constipation)
• Overactive bladder
• Menopause

Our Remedial Massage Therapists are all trained in working with women during pregnancy. We use comfortable pregnancy pillows to help you feel comfortable during your treatment.

Clinical Pilates for Women’s Health, Pre and Postnatal

Participating in clinical pilates during pregnancy and after may help promote stability of the pelvis and strengthens the deep spinal muscles which may potentially help reduce the risk of back-related pain during pregnancy. Clinical Pilates may assist in pelvic floor strength and function in turn helping you for an optimal delivery and recovery post-pregnancy.
